Federal Effort Supports Sunscreen in Schools

Did you know there is an effort on the federal level to support and encourage the same policies SUNucate promotes on a state level? House Resolution 323, sponsored by Representative David Joyce (R-OH-14), encourages all schools to allow students to possess sunscreen at school without restriction and without a note; encourages schools and camps to develop policies for the use of and access to sunscreen and sun-protective clothing, and supports initiatives to teach sun-safe behavior.

As of September 17, 2019, H.Res 323 has 14 co-sponsors and has been referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce and the Committee on Education and Labor. Contact your representative to encourage support of this important resolution!
